Why I Started House of 434

The name House of 434 comes from my first home: 434 Bayview.

It was more than an address.

It was where my husband and I began building our life together.

From that home, I started my journey at Google. My husband joined Tesla. We welcomed our son into the world. We received our green cards. It was the place where many of the dreams we had carried with us for years began to take shape.

Like many first homes, 434 wasn't remarkable because of the building itself.

It was remarkable because of what became possible there.

It was a place filled with ambition, uncertainty, optimism, and the belief that through hard work, learning, and perseverance, a better future could be built.

Looking back, I realize that the most meaningful things in life rarely begin with grand plans.

They begin with conversations.

A shared meal.

A late-night discussion about an idea.

A small group of people willing to take a chance on something that does not yet exist.

The most important opportunities in my life and career have emerged from relationships long before they emerged from institutions.

The best founders I have met did not start with perfect plans.

The best investors I know did not begin with large portfolios.

The most impactful communities were not designed from the top down.

They started with thoughtful people gathering around a common belief about the future.

Over the last decade, I have had the privilege of working at the intersection of technology, AI, fintech, startups, and private markets.
